Scotland Fulbright Beginnings

In January 2021, I started the second phase of my sabbatical by leaving for Aberdeen, Scotland to serve as a Visiting Professor at the University of Aberdeen for the Spring term. While under lockdown, I have focussed my field recording efforts on Seaton Park, a public park close to the university’s main campus.

Sunrise at Canaveral

Toward the end of my recent residency at Canaveral, Eve Payor and I collaborated to record the sunrise from the top of Turtle Mound. It’s a continuous take lasting 1 hour, 15 minutes, perfect for active or passive enjoyment. Beautiful colors fill the sky and birds start vocalizing around 40 minutes in. Enjoy!
